There are sentient races that populate the adventuring ranks. These races share the bonds of society and guild membership, and are generally friendly in their relations. However, some tensions do exist, and these can occasionally cause friction, violence, or outright war!

Some guilds do not allow members of certain races into their ranks. Often this is merely the result of physical limitations that would prevent a given race from performing the tasks of that guild. Sometimes, however, the reason is little more than abject racism. Oftentimes, this is the beginning of the above mentioned tensions.
