Wood elves ".......Treekillers......"
A true Elven philosophy is to not meet the opponent hand to hand, when you can pick them off at a distance with a well placed arrow. Many think this strategy is cowardly, yet they try to attack an Elf while he is hidden in the woods, and find themselves with a well placed arrow protruding from their chest. As the undisputed masters of the bow, these nimble people are more than just vicious guardians. Archery contests are just one of the more enjoyable ways of using their talents. And Elven food, drink, and music only does justice to their reputations as magical beings. The wood elves occasionally called the green elves, are one of the most commonly encountered breeds. They are medium height, with tan or ruddy complextions. Hair colors range from gold to brown, with a peculiar greenish shade occuring in about five percent of the population. Most dwell in forest communities. They are expert archers, and developed technics of making the special elven bow. Wood elves wiegh less than other elves, (some say their bones are hollow), and they are less sturdy than humans. Wood elves are attuned to nature, and are good at training and domesticating animals. Their flocks of sheep and goats, and their herds of cattle, supply most of the meat used by their cities. Wood elves were the first to capture and train horses. The Wood Elves are far more primitive then their kin. Their lives are geared toward the simple matter of survival in the woodlands, rather then enjoyment. They find that this life is what give them the greatest pleasure. Wood Elves seem more prone to violence than their civilized cousins. Their muscles are larger, their complexions more florid. They have yellow to coppery-red hair, which contrasts with their lightly tanned skin. Their eyes are generally light brown, bright green is also common.
The Wood Elves are much more tempramental and wild then other elves. They live closely in contact with nature. They live by their hearts, They often have big feasts celebrating nature, seasons and the moon. They are very protective of their own, and anyone coming close to an elf encampment will immediatly have at least two elves shading them. The Wood Elves will kill anyone they feel threated them. The music of the Wood Elves are the sound of wind thru the leaves, the howling of the wolves in the night, the cry of the birds. Their art is tattoos inspired by the everchanging cycle of seasons. These elves have hair colours ranging from dark to coppery red, golden blonds. And their eyes pale browns, bright greens and have lightly tanned skins. They possess magical potential and also empathic abilities, and can sense danger. You will notice that they have a close relationship with local animals. Most tribes are easily recognized by their bond animal, it can either be wolf, eagle, hawk, fox etc. Once you have earned the trust of these elves, you will find them hospitable. Normally they avoid contact with other races, but from time to time some have ventured amongst other races. Their clothing usually blending in with the woods, and they love wearing browns and greens. These elves are tempramental and live in close contact with nature, you could say they live by their hearts. They are very protective of their own, and if threatened or harmed they will not hesitate to kill. Their music sounds like the wind blowing through the leaves, and the howling of the wolves in the night. Many of them have tattoos depicting which guild they may belong to. It is said that any elf born with hazel or blue eyes is considered a good omen for their village, and is believed to be destined for personal great ness. |
