"Tsk tsk... air breathers and our kind do not mix!"

Sea ElvesSea Elves live in water, although they can build cities on the shores and in swamps. They must be near water. They make their underwater cities out of coral reefs, and giant sponge-like stones. They also haul the sponge-like stones to the surface, creating giant bee-hive like buildings. Portions of the reefs may be brought to surfrace, generally for the upper class. They prefer anything from the sea, and dislike any surfrace stones, woods, or metals. Any metal they have is mined underwater, including mithril, iron, and gilith, which is a melted iron-like substance.

Sea elves live in the water, near the water and underwater trenches. Their oldest cities are in the oldest reefs, burrowing in perhaps a mile, making zig zagging streets of tunnels. Their cities on the surface are usually on tiny connecting islands using water-filled streets, or on the shore.

Sea elves do not like any race that do not have gils. However, they will associate with all races once. If they are wronged, they will usually hate that race until they die.

Sea elves are very water-biased. They love the water and think that all her creatures are the most beautiful. They seek to find and protect beauty, and some believe that leading a horse to water will give him gils. They are a matriacal society.

Sea elves seek beauty in all its underwater forms, nothing from the surface is good enough and those with surface items in their possession are considered poor. They prefer to be swamp/shore/water rangers, cleric, mages and sea or amphibian-beast riders.

Few people have ever seen the Sea Elves, but they are as numberous as their landbound cousins. They partrol the deeps of oceans and large inland waters, holding court beneath the waves.

Aquatic Elves have gill slits much like elves, but can also survive out of water for a short time by breathing. Their skin is typically silver-green, matching seaweed. Some possess a bluish tinge to their skin. Their hair complements their skin and is green or bluish green.

The Sea Elves play an important role in the underwater ecology. They serve to keep the seas safer for the inhabitants. Aquatic elves keeps the devastation of creatures as saguagin, ixitzachitl and sharks to a minimum.

Because they fear the terrible creatures of the deeps, they work together with the dolphins to keep at least some areas safe. They follow ships and protect them and the friendly sea creatures. Seaside communities often punish people who hurt the Sea Elves gravely.

Sea ElvesAquatic Elf communities consists mainly of those sea elves that live in a 5 mile area. There is a titular king or queen whom they pay homeage, but he/she has no real power over their daily life. Sea elves live as they please, coming together under a ruler only in times of trouble.

They have cities of living corals, supplemented with glittering crystal domes. Their undersea paradise is marked by farmers tending schools of fish, and the peace you can only find beneath the waves.

There are few who have had the honour of seeing the sea elf. They keep in the deepest parts of the oceans and lakes and rivers. They can survive out of water for a short time by breathing, with the gill slits. Their skin in normally a blue-green colour, and some are a silver-green colour which seems to match the colour of seaweed. Their hair compliments their skin. The sea elves keep the sea safer for all who swim in it, and make sure that the under water creatures do not get harmed for no reason. Because they actually fear some of the creatures of the deep, they have befriended the dolphins to keep some of the areas safe. They swim around protecting the gentle creatures of the water. They live inbetween the coral that is deep within the sea and riverbeds.... Perhaps you will see them some time. Look carefully who knows what lurks nearby...
