Look to the trees. There they are, happy and content, working together to make a perfect harmony. The Elves are Guardians of Nature, created to protect the forests from evil itself....
But what is an Elf? Now that is a good question....
Several descriptions
An elf is an airy spirit of nature, who loves carefree dancing and playing stringed instruments. Elves live underground, or sometimes in or on top of water (preferably a spring), or sometimes even in the air (or in the branches of high trees). Now and then they take on an animal image. They are not malevolent by nature, but sometimes the consequences of their teasing have been serious (for example, causing people to become lost in the marshes) but it is not at all intentional. There are male, female, and sexless elves. Most of them have wings. Size: from 10 to 30 cm. Intelligence: sharply focused, but high.
Elves tend to be taller than than quite a lot of those living in the forest. But sometimes can be shorter and finer built than that of humans. They are very swift on their feet, and sometimes could walk quite near you without you realising it. They are a race of people who live very long, and that is why they just love life and doing every they can to enjoy it. An elf wont easily condemn, he looks at things that are deeper before getting himself drawn into a situation. But they can be quite fierce fighters, and especially when protecting their own. Most elves do not like making friends with the humans or other races. But when they do know that you have a friend for the rest of your life. They will protect their friends. Elves are very involved with magic, and devote much of their time finding out new things, or things passed on through their families. And you will find that even those who are closely involved with magic, admire the elves for their knowledge.
